“I saw his dumb tweet and laughed about it because I've seen people brag about knowing football, when in reality, they don't know as much as they say they do,” Romero said.

Romero, who follows 67,000 people on Twitter, confirmed he has no idea who “Ethan” was IRL, but he's been following some of the accounts tweets.

“Ethan” continued to live-tweet the big game. In response to one of his tweets, Romero decided to test the boundaries of irony a bit. “Hell yeah did you see that touchdown by gary coleman?” he tweeted back.

Romero said he chose to reference the late actor's name (Gary Coleman) “because it sounds like a football player's name and he's not a super big name that everyone would know.”

“Ethan”, apparently, was among these people.

But perhaps the person most stunned, and amused, by the brief exchange was Romero himself. He instantly screenshotted it, and shared it in a new tweet that was simply captioned, “There is no fucking way.” The tweet quickly went viral.
